Trice Q - Touring / commuting recumbent trike
The 2008 Trice Q tadpole trike includes a rear suspension and foldability, while improving the configurability for individual taste. The Trice Q maintains the ICE Q's geometry and good looks. This solid performing trike will satisfy most people's needs in a touring or commuting recumbent tricycle.
The geometry is based on the Trice XL, which is one of the most stable sports trikes in the world. It has a wide 31" track, and zero pedal-steer or brake-steer.
With the removal of the rear-wheel, the suspension allows the trike to be folded for easier transport.
The brakes are weather-resistant Sturmey-Archer drums. [Note: I don't know what ICE does to their drum brakes, but they are extremely crisp and quick stopping. The performance is comparable to discs, but the drums are more weather-resistant and simplify wheel removal.]
The 27-speed drivetrain is composed of solid road-bike components on the front (crankset and derailleur), and mountain-bike components on the rear (cassette and derailleur).
Trice Q comes in your choice of a beautiful candy-apple red finish or a metallic marine blue.
Your Trice Q touring trike will comes with the following standard equipment:
- tuneable rear suspension
- 27-speed drivetrain
- drum-brakes
- 20" wheels sporting 100psi tires
- rear mudguard
- high-visibility flag
- side-view mirror
Please note that the new Trice Q does NOT come with the rear rack as standard equipment.
Other options include mechanical and hydraulic disc brakes. One-handed operation / controls, neckrest, and ICE pod side-bags.
