Suspension Touring Trike
The Scorpion is HP Velotechnik's first recumbent tricycle offering. For years, HP Velotechnik has been building recumbent bicycles and a reputation for quality and rideability. Now that experience has been translated to the trike world.
With its rear shock, heat-treated aluminum frame, and two-part carbon-fiber seat, the Scorpion will take you to a new level of speed and comfort. The seat has the most adjustability we know of on any recumbent trike.
You'll take comfort in the stopping power of the Scorpion's disc brakes overlaid on the no-brake-steer frame geometry. The Scorpion is also available with one-handed braking and has an optional rear drag or parking brake.
The standard drivetrain is based on a 24-speed Dual-Drive system using an internally geared 3-speed hub. But, the Scorpion is also available in many combinations of derailleurs and innovative planetary gear systems such as the Rohloff Speedhub and Schlumpf Mountain-Drive, Speed-Drive, and High-Speed Drive.
